Thanks for your feedback Viktor!

I think it's starting to reach a tipping point now, where general awareness of social media is so widespread that small businesses are realising this is an area they can't afford to ignore any longer.

Having run a small business myself however I understand how difficult it can be to invest in areas like this with limited resources.

I hope at the very least thst this and the many other excellent social media blogs available out there, will help small businesses in their decision making process :)

Hi Shell. I just stumbled upon this post on Google+ and enjoyed reading. Fully agree with your conclusions. I hope they will start gradually changing this attitude in nearest years when more and more people will be connected in the social Web.

I loved this. Thank you. I may link this, as I have been considering these things a lot and want to make a series of small designs based on how some marketing has become poisonous bait. I will then attach them to a blog and I may possibly quote you. Of course I never know what will happen until I write/create and edit. I am bookmarking this as reference for now.

I am a Graphic Designer (mostly for print) and while I am not bitter I do get to see some of the ugliness on the inside. I am hoping the marketing 'troll' dies soon. An educated professional does not need to use such negative tactics and it shouldn't be supported. I am very glad to see you are taking this position. I think you might enjoy this a bit http://surrogatemuse.wordpress.com/2013/03/15/5-reasons-i-hate-numbered-blog-lists/ especially #3. It is something I wrote on a related subject. I may edit it a little in the future because I feel I could have better highlighted the importance of good, complete and useful information coming from a business to their customers or clients. It is purely opinion of course, but I do make that clear.I hope the sarcasm of the title doesn't put you off. The strong emotion is intentional and the reason becomes clear as you read it
